Manufactured Controversy: Republican Study Committee Drama

This is ridiculous.

Politico, which normally does a great job reining in the liberal tendancies of its writers, had a front page story regarding apparent controversies and drama in the Republican Study Committee — one of the most influential groups in Washington for shaping conservative policy.

In this article Politico states that “some” members are concerned about the conservative agenda and considering leaving the RSC because of it - they site that these members are concerned about the “uber” conservative agenda is concerning and that the RSC shouldn’t “eat their own” according to an anonymous Hill aid.

You know what? Screw them. (I really want to drop an F bomb here) Washington has no balls. Anyone who is complaining about pushing for things like a Balanced Budget Amendment are more worried about saving their own skins than saving the country.

If someone wants to leave the RSC we should run a campaign against them, just like Erick Erickson said about Martha Roby when she left the RSC.

What’s the most disappointing quote in this article? Mr. Allen West, the patron saint of liberal headlines, who can’t seem to get the fact that we didn’t send him to Washington because he’s Allen West said this…

“There’s a bit of an überconservative environment that’s going on, and we can’t continue to shoot ourselves in the foot or have what I call a circular firing squad,” said Florida Rep. Allen West, a freshman member of the RSC who is remaining in the group.

This is a small fraction of fools, let them leave the RSC and we will gladly support a better conservative in their place - it’s not that many of them.

Reason: What We Saw at The Occupy Wall Street Protest

Money quote, “I strongly believe that we should gear ourselves away from the monetary system and probably work for a resource based economy. Get back some how in a way where we could barter.” — Big man in Che Guevara shirt.

Apparently a Republican Potato Could Beat Obama

Yea, this is getting really bad for Obama. This from Rasmussen yesterday.

A generic Republican now holds a six-point advantage over President Obama in a hypothetical 2012 match-up for the week ending Sunday, October 2.

These are the types of things that make me think that Sarah Palin just may wait out all the debates and jump in just for the hell of it. In my opinion, this renders the elect-ability issue moot. Time to elect a flamethrowing conservative.

Flamethrower Friday: Michelle Malkin

This week Michelle Malkin gave us a chuckle when she said the following regarding Paul Krugman’s 9/11 piece in the NYT:

Koward Krugman’s problem is that he’s a lazy intellectual slob who hurriedly hits the ‘publish’ button before the sand in his little kitchen egg timer empties… Shame on him. Shame on the New York Times,” said Hot Air’s Michelle Malkin.

Who doesn’t hate Paul Krugman’s snide and smug editorials in the New York Times? He’s an unapologetic keynesian asshat. Thanks to Michelle!
